Description:

-Looks: Thorn looks like a normal French rapier. The blade is thin, yet strong, protruding for a black hilt. The hilt is just like that of a normal rapier, but has a golden rose with four petals pointed in a "north-west-south-east" pattern at the base. Stretching from the base of the hilt to the top is a very delicate guard, it is in the shape of vines that start as one at the base before branching off in the mid area of the hilt to conjoin once again at the top of the hilt. Everything about this blade is very delicate and weak looking, but very strong. It was at one time the blade of his mother, so everything is either colored black or gold (the blade is also colored gold though it is steel).

-Capabilities: This is a normal rapier meaning that it has no supernatural abilities. Everything about this rapier is completely normal.

Story: This is the rapier that was given to Nicholas' mother when she came of age and joined the military. She worked with it for years, taking it into battle with her. It was one of her most prized possession, which she allowed no one to use, inspect, or even touch. She even took it with her when she and Nicholas ran to the north. While there she trained Nicholas in the north, she also taught him art of swordplay with a rapier, though he was also disallowed to touch Thorn and had to use his own blade. He admired the blade, but found himself unable to go against his mother's will and take the blade. He sat for hours staring at the beautiful blade.

While his mother was dying, she told him to take blade and carry on the legacy. He found himself running to his home and staring at the blade once more. He was no longer sure how to react. But, he eventually took the blade and began to use it as trained, to continue both the blade's and his mother's legacy.
